Our client, a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals used in a variety of applications, requires an experienced professional to promote the company's raw materials to the Personal Care products and related industries. The successful candidate will work from a company office in either the Midwest or Northeast. Home office arrangements can be made for an exceptionally well qualified candidate. 

Responsibilities
  • Use understanding of North American market for personal care raw materials to implement business strategies that grow revenue. 
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for North America. 
  • Engage with customers to understand their personal care formulation challenges, provide solutions based on company technology and trouble shoot issues as required. 
  • Monitor competitive market activity and devise strategies to meet competitive challenges. 
  • Lead cross functional stage-gate project teams to meet product development and business unit objectives.
  • Collaborate within the business unit to identify potential new markets, develop value propositions implement new product introductions. 
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Polymer Science or related field; MBA strongly preferred. 
  • At least 10 years experience in supplying chemicals or ingredients to the personal care, home care, contact lens or medical device industries. 
  • Relevant consumer product industry experience in product formulation, testing or product development. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts into practical applications. 
  • Success at collaborating within a multifunctional, global team structure. 
  • Developed interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate team members. 
  • Significant customer interface experience in the target markets. 
  • Proven marketing competency, analytical skills and financial knowledge. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
